DAY SHIFT CASHIER

 Monday - Friday from 10:30 am to approximately 2:00 pm 

Roberts Restaurant is currently looking for a professional and friendly individual for our lunch shift.  The role of the cashier is to ensure that each and every customer is served in a friendly

and welcoming manner.  The cashier is responsible for checking out customer’s purchases, assist with ordering food offered by the restaurant.  Making sure that there is accuracy in recording sale transactions (cash/credit) and security of the cash in the cash register.  Must be punctual for scheduled shift. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Answer phone

  • Greet and welcome customers in a friendly manner

  • Take customers’ orders and recorded it in the POS system at the counter

  • Receive payments and present correct change to customers

  • Ensuring that each and every order is precisely and accurately entered.

  • Ensuring that all the money received is correctly registered in the cash register machine, following the strict compliance to the cashiering standards and company policy.

  • Pack all to-go orders and ensure that all orders are packed correctly with the customers food, condiments and paperware.

  • Make reservations for customers

  • Recognize customer’s issues and complaints and take necessary actions to rectify them.

  • Assist servers and perform other related duties as requested by lead server or managers.

  • Make sure that there is a balance of the register at the end of working shift.

  • To attend any training and meetings, as and when required.

Dinner SHIFT DISHWASHER

 Monday - Friday from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm 

Roberts Restaurant is currently looking for a professional and friendly individual for our dinner shift.  The dishwasher reports directly to management or kitchen lead.  Responsible for the operation of ware washing, glassware, silverware, china ware, pots and pans other small wares as needed. 

 

Qualifications/skills required:

  • Current food handlers permit

  • Must be punctual

  • Knowledge of cleaning and ware washing procedures an asset

  • Ability to work in a fast pace

 

Main duties:

  • Maintain a clean and safe work area

  • Be productive and keep busy during work shift

  • Use all equipment safely and properly as required and instructed by management and kitchen lead.

  • Carry out any other duties that may be assigned by management or kitchen lead.

  • Wear required uniform making sure it is clean and in good repair.

  • Keep kitchen floors swept and mopped and end of shift.

  • Keep kitchen equipment clean

  • Take out garbage

  • To attend any training and meetings, as and when required.

SERVERS

 Monday - Friday

Lunch & Dinner shifts 

Roberts Restaurant is currently looking for professional and friendly individuals for our server positions.  This position is to interact with our guest and ensure they have a great dining experience at Roberts Restaurant.  At all time, servers are expected to be attentive to our guest needs and making them feel welcomed, comfortable, important and relaxed. 

Qualifications/skills required:

  • Current food handlers permit

  • Must be punctual

  • Tips & Sips certified

  • Excellent oral communications skills

  • Ability to work in a fast pace

 

General Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.

  • Be productive and keep busy during work shift.

  • Use all equipment safely and properly as required and instructed by management and lead server.

  • Carry out any other duties that may be assigned by management or lead server.

  • Wear required uniform making sure it is clean and in good repair.

  • Prepare the tables, laying out napkins and utensils, making sure the condiments are refilled.

  • Perform all beginning of shift side work as well as, end of shift side work.

  • Staying updated on current menu choices, daily specials, soups and menu deviations, knowing if the kitchen staff is running out of any items...etc.

  • Inform customers about food preparation details communicating specific customer needs to the cooks.

  • Maintaining proper dining experience, delivering items and hot entrees in a timely manner.  Offering drinks, appetizers, and dessert.  Pre-bus tables replenish utensils, refilling glasses.

  • Prepare mixed drinks for service to your customers table.

  • Properly open and pour wine at the tables.

  • Obtaining revenue, issuing receipts, accepting payments and returning correct change.

  • Performing basic cleaning task as needed and directed by management or lead server.

  • Filling in for absent serving staff as needed.

  • Adhere to dress code, as well as, maintaining proper grooming and appearance standards.

  • To attend any training and meetings, as and when required.

DINNER LINE COOK

 Monday - Friday from 4:30 am to approximately 10:00 pm 

Roberts Restaurant is currently looking for professional and friendly individuals for our breakfast/lunch line cook.  at least one year experience cooking for a full service restaurant required. 

 

 Qualifications/skills required:

 

  • Current food handlers permit.

  •  Must be punctual.

  •  Ability to take control of the breakfast service and ensure our guest receives delicious, hot meals.

  •  Self-starter.

  •  Keeping busy with prepping while waiting for orders.

  •  Cooking and managing breakfast service and assisting with the lunch service.

General Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.

  • Ensure that all meals are being prepared to the correct recipe and to the correct portions.

  • Be productive and keep busy during work shift.

  • Set-up for breakfast and lunch.

  • Cleaning up after lunch rush.

  • Ensure that any low stock situations.

  • Use all equipment safely and properly as required and instructed by management and lead server.

  • Carry out any other duties that may be assigned by management or lead server.

  • Wear required uniform making sure it is clean and in good repair.

  •  Performing basic cleaning task as needed and directed by management or kitchen lead.

  • Adhere to dress code, as well as, maintaining proper grooming and appearance standards.

  • To attend any training and meetings, as and when required.
